We believe all of life is about four great realities rooted in Scripture. These four values drive everything we do.

1. GOD’S GLORY IN CHRIST - Why We Do What We Do

We believe God has created human beings to live for a purpose bigger than themselves. We believe that purpose is living to see, savor and show God’ s glory in Christ. Because “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him,” as one christian thinker has said; we display God’s worth and beauty most by finding our ultimate joy and satisfaction in Him. We love others because He first loved us.

2. SPIRIT-FILLED LIVES - Our Power For Doing What We Do

It is through our union with God the Father, through God the Son, by God the Holy Spirit that we increasingly live out our new heart’s passion for knowing and imaging God. Everything we need for life and godliness has been given to us already in Christ. The Holy Spirit’s presence and power are more than sufficient to help us pursue heart change and a life pervaded with God's love. Confidence in His power’s display through our weakness frees us to live boldly and humbly for God’s glory and others' joy.

Because God’s glory is so immense, no solitary, finite human being can even begin to image him adequately. God exists in community and therefore created us to display the holiness, unity and love inherent to the Trinity. Relationships in community are foundational to revealing God’s love to the world and God’s way of changing us as well. We are the church—God’s family of missionary servants. Living in the light of God’s grace together means we can stop hiding our struggles and shame and begin experiencing the power of God’s love in community. This is how God intends for us to attract the attention of the world (John 13-17).

By gathering and scattering together to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission we get to be a trailer of things to come. We are not mere spectators of God’s great drama of redemption—we actually get to participate in it! We do so by declaring and demonstrating the gospel of Jesus' kingdom and explaining its implications for people living in a broken world destined to be made right in Christ. We get to demonstrate the reality of the gospel through every dimension of our lives. We get to be good news people in a bad news world. Sharing and showing God’s love for others no matter what the cost reveals God's unswerving commitment reach the lost and teach them about the new reality and destiny of those who learn to find their life and identity in Christ.

statement of belief

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and the ultimate authority by which we live

We believe that God has revealed Himself and His will to us in His written Word. We believe that God is one in His being or essence, but within the one being of God there are three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that worship is our primary response to God’s love: the truth remains the same but our styles of celebration are to be culturally relevant.

We believe that it is through a total faith commitment to Jesus that we are transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit so that we live close to Him and grow to be more like Him. In this way we are able to enjoy lives that are meaningful, satisfying and fruitful.

We believe that our main purpose is to be a loving people who share the Good News with others so that they know Jesus as Savior and follow Him as Lord and treasure.

We believe that God calls us to welcome and encourage people at all stages of their spiritual journey and call them to be disciples of Jesus who make disciples.

We believe that God calls us to prioritize loving, authentic relationships in every area of our lives.

We believe that discipleship, heart change, and spiritual growth and development occur best in the context of small groups.

We believe that every Christian is uniquely gifted by God the Holy Spirit with personality, talents and financial resources which are to be used to further God’s kingdom and guide, help, and encourage others.

We believe that leadership development is essential for the growth and multiplication of the church.

We believe that the best way to communicate the gospel throughout the world is through strategic church planting.

We believe that excellence honors God and inspires people.

We believe that all people are separated from God because they transgress His laws and none of us can make ourselves acceptable to God by trying our best to live a good life. Being good or being religious cannot take away our sin problem.

We believe that God in His love has provided the only way for people to be forgiven their sins and receive the gift of eternal life with God. This way is through Jesus Christ, God the Son, who became a man so that He could go to the cross and there allow the Father to place our sins on Him and then punish Him in our place. Jesus took the wrath of God we deserve and He died. After paying for all of our sins, He came back from the dead overcoming both sin and death. It is only through the finished work of Christ that God is able to forgive sinners and accept them into His family.

We believe that those who recognize their sin problem and trust Jesus alone to save them from eternal condemnation are forgiven their sins and given the gift of eternal life with God.

We believe that God the Holy Spirit comes to live within each follower of Christ to teach, guide, gift, enable and empower him or her to live God’s kind of life. Thus, true believers follow Christ and they grow more and more in their willingness and ability to love God and love others.
